About…
What is Thirty Seconds?
It’s not the most original of ideas, I’ll grant you that. I had a friend point out to me that everyone knows that life “flashes before your eyes” when you die.
I’ve heard it before, but I feel that my little wrinkle on that cliché gives us a more finite, touchable idea of what that flash must be like. “Thirty Seconds” is easier to quantify than “a life.”
After my wife’s cancer diagnosis I decided that there is an urgency to filling our lives…our “30″…with moments and actions that leave us full…and content.
Our “30″ is a journey on which we are both passenger and pilot. We make hopeful choices every moment of every day, some more noteworthy than others. Ultimately these choices fill our “30″ and create our destiny.

Hi Andy…You are cute! Are you as nice as you are cute? Like this website…great idea..I need to do something to honor my husband and my memories and be creative in the process. I am a very creative woman with a sweet and loving heart. Always wanted to write…maybe I should do that! Write me back.
Ha! Thanks, Nancy. Yes…you should write…but only if you like doing it. There are too many “shoulds” and “ought to’s” in my estimation. Maybe just being happy with warm memories of him will honor him appropriately. But yes…write if you like it. (I always reply to comments. So far anyway…)
i am in such awe of all that you do for others as you journey on your path through grief. i am so glad that my friend jan told me about thirty seconds. i too like to write about my grief to help myself and others. this is just all such remarkable work and an awesome way to share!
thanks andy!
