I am far, far, far from where I am going to be as a man, father, husband, and person.
When I see something I want to change about me I ask the world to wait patiently until I get there. Actually I demand it. That’s pretty Andy-centric of me.
I figured something out this morning: I need to be patient with the people I care about as they wait for me to be a better me. They want it as badly as I do…and they get frustrated. Who am I to demand their patience…when I don’t give them mine in return? Bad Andy. (But workin’ on it…)

After reading this I am wondering why we call patients (sick person) patients.
Whoa…that makes my head spin a little. I know it was rhetorical…but of course I like to answer. Maybe because THEY have to be so patient as the docs, nurses, us push them to get better. (And I know they try very hard to get there. For themselves…and of course us.)
BTW: I’m trying to post shorter reads because of how you write. It’ll come…with a little patience. (Bad, self-serving, last sentence.)
