Phase II: Designing the Symbol
Many of you don’t know I’m in the jewelry business. This is material only because we are going to produce Thirty Seconds “Pay It Forward” symbol that we can wear to remind us to be cool to other people…and to show the rest of the world that we’re part of the Project.
The proceeds from the sale of this jewelry will go to deserving individuals in various communities throughout the US. (Internationally when we reach that point.) Yes…We’re going to change lives. In fact our first recipient is named Emily and when you read her story about the only thing you’ll be able to say is, “Wow.”
With that in mind I would like you to put your talents to work and send me ideas about what you think it should look like. Don’t worry about it being perfect. I have professional designers in the wings ready to take your ideas and combine them into something great. Here’s a little flow chart that shows what this Phase II looks like.
The Symbol: From Ideas to Finished Piece
Flow Chart Explanation:
- Thirty Seconds fans (that’s you) submit ideas of what they think the symbol should be.
- Professional jewelry designers will use your ideas as inspiration for the final symbol.
- Our jeweler will fabricate the symbol from the designers final design.
- The finished piece will be ready for larger scale production. (That sounds a little dry but I’m a business guy too. That’s how we talk sometimes. Yawn.)
Need Some Guidelines?
I posted a list of simple guidelines on the TS Facebook Fan Page to help you in your jewelry design endeavor. Use them…or not. This is your baby and there aren’t any bonus points for coloring inside the lines. Thank so much and invite anyone you know to participate by directing them to this post. You never know what can come of it.
