This is going to be my final post for a long time. (Ever?) I used to downplay it when people would tell me I’m brave, or courageous, or strong for sharing my thoughts. I had no idea why they would say that…but now I do.
It’s brave because when you share yourself with others you are leaving the door open for them to walk right in and tell you how you should live. They tell you what you suck at…point out your mistakes…explain how they would do things differently…and shake their heads in disbelief when you defend yourself.
There is so much more I would like to say…but I’m closing the door on much of my life both here and in person. Thank you to everyone who has contacted me because of this blog. You’ve made a big impression on my life and I hope to meet some of you in person someday. (Stranger things have happened.)
I’m going to take my ball and go home now. I guess it’s time to live my Thirty Seconds in private. (OK…so the video below is a bit dramatic but I love this song. It’s funny because I originally started this blog as a way to tie lessons I’ve learned to songs that speak to me. Interesting…)
